Typefaces on Web-enabled Devices

As part of the brand building process, how does typeface influence the perception of the brand image among different web-enabled devices including the PC.

The New York times article from the 10 Jan 2001 put it the following way “…site’s owner has so little control over the fine details of what you will see that the typeface in which the text appears…” and this has an impact on how the brand image is been perceived as more and more content is been presented in a digital format.

Consistency plays a vital role in building a coherent image and this also means typefaces need “…to look clearer and more appealing on screen…” .
